We operate in a fast-paced work environment that promotes employee growth. Pay is based hourly, with time and a half overtime that is optional during high volume seasons. Initial review after 90 Days, and then 1 year. Benefits after 1yr include: 1week paid vacation (more bi-annually), annual performance review. Role Description This is a full-time (Tue-Sat 730a-430p) on-site role for a Heavy Truck Mechanic at MEYER TRUCK & ALIGNMENT, INC located in Iowa Falls, IA. Full time starting pay $22 -$27 per hour (based on experience) (hourly time and a half overtime, optional during high volume seasons). As a Heavy Truck Mechanic, the role involves performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy truck and trailer chassis, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting any issues. The Heavy Truck Mechanic will be required to use various diagnostic tools to identify and repair issues with the truck. The Technician will also perform preventative maintenance inspections and complete class 8 truck and trailer alignments (plus some medium duty). Qualifications • The candidate should have 2-3 years minimum of experience in heavy truck repair and should possess a strong knowledge of mechanics. • Be timely, diligent, efficient, focused, honest and professional. • The candidate should have experience with various diagnostic tools. • The ideal candidate should have experience in brakes, suspension, power train, A/C, alignment, and various other heavy truck systems. • The candidate should have a willingness to learn, adapt, and also be able to work independently or as a part of a team. • The candidate should have a valid driver’s license, and a CDL is preferred but not required. • Tools: supply your own tool storage with basic hand and power tools ($20k minimum) (MTA shop supplies ¾” and 1”, and special tools) Nick Meyer – General Manager Meyer Truck & Alignment, Inc. 641-648-3225 nickm@meyertruckandalignment.com
